Antihypertensive medicine
Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker used primarily to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), chronic stable angina (chest pain), and certain arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats). It works by relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow and reducing the heart's workload. It is also used off-label to prevent cluster headaches and migraines.
