Gout Management
Probenecid tablet (500 mg) is a prescription medication used to treat chronic gout and hyperuricemia (high uric acid) by helping the kidneys remove uric acid through urine. It is also used to increase the effectiveness of certain antibiotics. It does not treat active gout flares, but helps prevent them.
